Creating Safety and Connection in your therapeutic process with your Clients.

Join Deb Dana for this in-person workshop in Potsdam - for an advanced clinical audience.

For Applying PVT successfully in our practice, we need to learn how to support our clients affected by trauma and stuck in a state of dysregulation to find and return to experiences of regulation, safety and connection.

During this one day advanced workshop you will deepen your understanding of the application of Polyvagal Theory.

Based on the foundation of being able to support your clients with their most fundamental personal profil maps, there are further tools and tangible strategies useful and necessary for working with trauma clients and the nervous system. Deb will focus during this workshop on how to successfully apply those advanced strategies with your clients, especially when access to a sense of safety seems far away and out of reach.

Prerequisites for participation in this workshop are:

  • You have completed a basic workshop/webinar (live or online OnDemand) by and with Deb Dana and have worked out the basic profile maps for yourself.
  • You already apply the Polyvagal theory in your work with your clients and would now like to take the next step and go deeper.

Join Arielle Schwartz for this in-person workshop in Potsdam - for an advanced clinical audience.

Many of the symptoms of stress and trauma are due to imbalances in the autonomic nervous system. Since our symptoms are as much physical as they are psychological, we need body-centered interventions to rebalance the body and mind. Yoga is one such path to healing, offering tools to address physiological imbalances through practices that allow to sense the body, change how we breathe, move stuck energy, and rest into stillness. Through the lens of interpersonal biology, polyvagal theory, and somatic psychology, you will explore the physiological repercussions of stressful or traumatic events.

Within this day-long immersion, you will learn tools to enhance your personal yoga practice and to benefit your work with others. Through the lens of polyvagal theory, you will learn how the vagus nerve is a bi-directional information highway between mind and body. More importantly, you will learn to fine-tune your and your clients' health with breath, movement, and awareness practices that become the building blocks of a life-changing daily practice. This is a real hands-on workshop, and you will have the opportunity to watch Arielle demonstrating therapeutic yoga session with an individual.

Prerequisites for participation in this workshop are:

  • You have completed a basic workshop/webinar (live or online OnDemand) by and with Arielle Schwartz
  • You already apply the Polyvagal theory in your work with your clients and would now like to take the next step and go deeper.
